We Help Students Achieve Through Their Voice

Free public speaking workshops for classrooms that don’t have them — run by students, for students.

  • Confidence
  • Clarity
  • Leadership

Speak2Achieve is a student-founded nonprofit with a mission to bring public speaking education to underprivileged classroom settings. We empower young people with the confidence, communication skills, and leadership they need to succeed. Through interactive workshops, Speak2Achieve equips the next generation with the skills and confidence to express themselves, inspire others, and achieve their full potential.

Supply — what schools teach

Rated “weak”

The Thomas B. Fordham Institute’s 2020 expert review rated Florida’s B.E.S.T. ELA standards weak, recommending significant and immediate revision. Formal oral presentations are required, but standards for developing listening and discussion skills are absent entirely — making Florida’s listening strand the weakest in the nation.

Demand — what employers want

43-point gap

NACE’s Job Outlook 2026 found that 98.7% of employers rate communication as very or extremely important, but only 55.4% find recent graduates proficient in it — the largest gap of any competency measured.

Speak2Achieve aims to help fill that gap, in after-school settings and over the summer, for students across South Florida.
